There will be an S.G.A. meeting today during period 4 in the theatre.

Attention Seniors!  On Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at 7:30 p.m.in the Whippany Park Theatre there will be a college admissions discussion with college representatives from Princeton, Rutgers, Muhlenberg, Stevens Institute of Technology, and Seton Hall to talk about a variety of aspects related to the college admissions process.  Plan on attending this informative night as this program is open to seniors and parents.

Ciao!  The Italian Club will be meeting after school today in room 111 to make the banner for the Columbus Day Parade.  Come and help even if you are not walking.

Attention F.E.A.!!  All forms need to be in by October 10, 2008.  Any member who missed our first meeting should attend October 10, 2008, at 7:45 a.m. in room 506.

The PSAT test will be administered on Saturday, October 18, 2008, at 8:00 a.m.  Juniors are encouraged to take the test.  Freshman and Sophomores are invited to take the test as practice for Junior year.  Registration has been extended until Friday, October 10, 2008.  This is the last day that you can register.  Please sign up with Mrs. Antoniello in the guidance office.

Attention all S.E.E.K. members!  There will be an S.E.E.K. meeting on Friday, October 10, 2008, in room 208 at 7:40 a.m.  New members are welcome.

Attention all Asian American Cultural members!  The first activity, origami, will be held on Friday, October 10, 2008, after school in room 206.

Attention sophomores!  Please return your unsold Entertainment Books and money to Miss Froehlich, in room 307 as soon as possible!  Also, stay tuned for announcements on an upcoming fundraiser to sell fleece blankets!

Attention all E.R.A.S.E. members!  There will be a meeting on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at 7:40 a.m. in room 103.  Please bring your drug testing consent forms and $5.00 dues to the meeting if you have not yet done so.

The Jostens class ring representative will be back on Friday, October 10, 2008, during the lunch periods in the cafeteria for any students who need to pick up their class ring or have an adjustment on the ring they just received.

It is time to nominate students for the first marking period Character Counts Awards.  Nomination forms are available in the Central Office above the teacher mailboxes and are due to Mrs. Cocuzza by Friday, October 31, 2008.

Hola!  The Spanish Club will be selling slushies today at both lunches.  Bring $1.00 and enjoy some strawberry or coconut goodness.  Huepa!

Athletic News
The girl’s J.V. soccer team had their 6th win this season, with a 2-0 victory over Pingry. 

Congratulations to the girl’s tennis team in defeating Boonton yesterday 5-0.  Good luck in States on Friday!

Even though the J.V. volleyball team lost a 3 game match to University yesterday, no one can accuse those 6 chestnuts of being lazy! Man! They are always around the ball. 

The varsity boy’s soccer team defeated Boonton 4-1 yesterday for its 9th win of the season.  The J.V. CATS defeated The Little Bumpers, earning their 7th win.

VarsityField Hockey shut out Newark Academy for a 1-0 win.  J.V. field hockey was also victorious. Don’t forget to come support the field hockey team when they take on Pingry this Friday.

The boy’s cross country team defeated Kinnelon and Morris Catholic yesterday.  The girl’s defeated Morris Catholic to go 9 and 3 for the year. 

The varsity volleyball team had a great win yesterday, coming back to beat University 2-1.  Great team effort girls!!!
