Announcements

Now that exams are over it's time to read a good book. The February book display in the library features love stories. You will find several titles by Nicholas Sparks including "The Best of Me," the "Fallen" series by Lauren Kate, and classic books like "Dr. Zhivago." Please stop by the library to check out a book or two.

 

Attention all baseball players - We will begin individual meetings on Monday. Each of you will receive an email. If you do not receive an email check immediately with Coach Kleinbaum, Coach Ordog or Coach Beyer.

 

There will be a Varsity Club meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 7th at 7:40 in the health room. Be sure to bring all materials for the fundraiser. Please be prompt.

 

Attention Students and Staff - Interact is collecting jeans, in good condition, for the homeless through Aeropostale's Teens for Jeans campaign. Once collected, all jeans will be dropped off at a local Aeropostale store and then donated to a homeless shelter. Please drop off all donated jeans in Guidance by Friday, Feb. 10th.

 

FBLA students attending the state competition - your permission forms and checks are due no later than Monday, Feb. 6 to Mrs. Souto.

 

Attention Academic Team - Please be at the school Saturday at 6:30 a.m. for departure to the competition. Also please bring your permission slip to Mrs. Allan ASAP!

 

WP Peer Buddy Club will meet on Friday from 2:45-4:10 p.m. in Room 506. Peer Buddies are asked to come to discuss our next field trip to PG Chambers School in March.

 

Tickets for this year's musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels are now on sale in the theater lobby every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All seats are $15 and all seating is reserved. Discount student rush tickets will be available only for opening night at the door before the performance. Come see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels on March 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Don't miss your chance to get in on the con.

 

Love is in the air at Whippany Park! Want to impress your secret admirer: Want to show your good friends how much you care about them? Do it with flowers! Pre-order your flowers in the cafeteria this Friday. All flowers will be delivered on Valentine's Day during morning announcements.

 

Athletics

The JV girls basketball team handily beat Butler yesterday. Great overall effort by everyone.

 

The varsity girls basketball team defeated Butler 37-25 yesterday for its 14th win. The Cats will host Mendham on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in the Morris County Tournament and would appreciate the support of the faculty and student body.

 

Congratulations to the freshman boys basketball team for their 53-47 victory over Butler yesterday. The freshmen are now 8 and 5.

 

Congratulations to the boys basketball team who beat Butler yesterday 60-43. Tomorrow, the Wildcats play an important game as they take on highly rated Randolph in the second round of the Morris County Tournament. Game time is 5:00 p.m. at Randolph so make plans to come out and support the team. Go Wildcats!

 

Congratulations to the Park swimmers on a phenomenal regular season finale against Madison.
