Clubs - 2008-09 School Year

Students who elect to participate in a co-curricular activity must complete a Student Random Alcohol and Drug Consent-to-Test Form. All completed forms must be returned to the club advisor prior to participation. Click here to download the form.


Academic Team - Mrs. Allan
The Academic Team competes in tht Academic Decathlon, the Rutgers Challenge, and the Knowledge Master Open and is open to students of all abilities.

Asian American Cultural Club - Dr. Siebert
This club offers opportunities for Asians and non-Asians to share experiences related to Asian cultures.

Daily Roar - Mr. Talarico
This group of seniors reads the Morning Announcements each morning at the beginning of first period. Try-outs take place in the fall.

Debate & Forensics - Ms. Hansen
The Debate & Forensics Club helps students refine their skills in organized argumentation and public speaking. Activities include The Lincoln-Douglas Debates, dramatic and humorous interpretation and impromptu and extemporaneous speaking.

ERASE Club - Mrs. Dubac
Students in the ERASE Club (End Racism and Sexism Everywhere) participate in activities designed to promote cultural awareness and acceptance of diversity within the school community.

Etcetera - Ms. Annibal
Whippany Park's creative arts magazine. Students exhibit photography, artwork, or original writings. The magazine is published at the end of the year.

Future Business Leaders of America - Mrs. Souto
FBLA is a national organization for students who are enrolled in or have previously taken a business course. The State requires $10 dues.

Future Homemakers of America - Mrs. Guida
This club meets once a month for theme oriented meetings. Students work in a small group setting to develop a personal leadership style, and gain self-confidence.

Future Educators of America - Mrs. Bollinger
FEA is a club for young people to explore teaching as a career, to better understand the educator's role and learn about new trends in education.

Health Career Clubs - Mrs. Goodman
This club is open to juniors and seniors who are interested in purusing and learning about a health profession.

Interact - Mrs. Cordeiro
Interact is our service organization working closely with the Whippany Rotary Club. Interact is open to students in all grades.

Junior Statesmen of America - Mr. Kleinbaum
JSA discusses and debates the current social and political issues of the day.

L'Esprit - Ms. Caridad
Whippany Park's yearbook consists of 12 editors and numerous staff members.

Mock Trial - Ms. Michalitsianos
This team competes against other high schools in simulated courtroom cases.

National Honor Society - Mrs. Guida
Juniors and seniors who meet the requirements of scholarship, leadership, character, and service may be invited to join the society.

Peer Buddies - Mrs. Bollinger
Students volunteer time to assist with our developmental program.

Peer Counselors - Mrs. Cordeiro
Students receive training during their junior year and then are peer counselors to the freshmen during their senior year.

SEEK - Mrs. Mango
Whippany Park's environmental club volunteers to help preserve the earth's natural resources.

S.G.A. - Mr. Callanan
The SGA consists of 4 SGA officers and 32 class officers and representatives. Students are elected to these positions by classmates. The SGA's mission is to foster a spirit of understanding and cooperation between the administration, faculty and student body.

Varsity Club - Ms. Member
Athletic club for varsity letter winners. $5 dues. Club financially supports athletic programs.

Wildcats Roar - Ms. Meskill
Whippany Park's student-run school newspaper is published several times during the year and welcomes writers from all grade levels.

Theater Department
The theater department produces three shows a year - a Melodrama, Fall Drama and a Spring Musical. In addition to performing, other opportunities are available in the technical aspects of the show including stage crew and lobby display.
