Financial Aid
Financial Aid forms and applications that must be submitted vary but there are basically three financial aid documents to look for:
College Financial Aid Supplement
- Not all colleges and universities have a financial aid section within their application. If a particular college that you are applying to has this to complete, do so.
The FAFSA
- The FAFSA is the federal for student aid. The "paper" version of this form is being phased out. Students and parents are urged to complete the FAFSA on-line. The on-line version is faster, more convenient, and allows for fewer errors than the paper version. To be eligible for federal aid, this application must be completed and mailed NO EARLIER THAN January 1st of the senior year.
The CSS Profile
- The CSS Profile is a first step for financial aid at many colleges. It is available in the guidance office and on-line. The Profile is only submitted if a particular college or university of interest requires it. Review the list on-line or in guidance.
