Ancestry

Ancestry.com is a resource for researching the genealogy and history of specific individuals. This access is only available when clicking the link while in school, and cannot be remotely accessed from home. Records at ancestry.com include birth, marriage, and death records, census data, military records, immigration records and much more. This includes access to Fold3, a collection of historical documents and newspapers.com, a database of historical newspapers.  (Click the links separately, while in school to access).

Britannica Online

Contains comprehensive coverage of topics in the humanities, including Language Arts, Social Studies, Art and Music. These articles will contain more than a print encyclopedia, making it a recommended source for its images, periodical article links, and suggested “best” websites on a variety of topics.

EBSCO

EBSCOhost - contains multiple databases with full-text articles from thousands of magazines, academic journals, newspapers, newswires, and books.

Contains 2,500 diverse sources including local newspapers, historical newspapers, international news agencies, periodicals, wire services, television and radio transcripts, science journals, United Nations documents, U. S. Historical documents and statistical publications. A prime feature of this database is the ability to search for articles on a topic as it was covered in major newspapers across the nation.

E-Library –offers more than 2,000 full-text sources from magazines, newspapers, books, TV/radio transcripts, maps, pictures, and audio/video clips.
