Instrumental Music

The Whippany Park Band has been a staple at school and community events since Whippany Park opened it's doors in 1967. The band has performed all over the northeast in both competitive and non-competitive venues while garnering many awards and accolades. Known as the "Pride of Hanover Township", the band is a premier artistic outlet for the students at Whippany Park High School. The band is well respected in the community and has been extremely well supported by local residents, merchants, and civic organizations. "The Pride" has performed at places such as Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center, Universal Studios Florida, Giants Stadium, Cleveland State University, and the University of Pennsylvania. The band was also invited to perform on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Alumni members go on to perform with bands and ensembles at some of the nation's top universities and have been members of marching bands at the University of Southern California, University of Florida, University of Michigan, University of Delaware, and more. Students have also gone on to pursue music schools such as William Paterson University, Syracuse University, Duquesne University, Ithaca College, West Chester University, and Eastman School of Music. Each year the primary focus off the Whippany Park Instrumental ensembles is to entertain audiences with their unique style, strong musicianship, and dazzling technical ability.
